Phil Hill’s Ferrari 246 Dino,
Aiming for the pits of Silverstone, 1960.
Arrows A2 (1979)
In the history of under rated Formula 1 cars, the Arrows A2 probably sits high at the top.
It wasn’t anything special, really. Eight starts, not a single win. But my word was it gorgeous. The engine was beautifully displayed at the back like a golden framed painting, and just like most beautiful things in life, it was full of curves.
This is Riccardo Patrese at Silverstone, in 1979.
Jim Clark, Graham Hill and a little Damon Hill, apparently quite mad. I love this picture.
Ron Flockhart and his Cooper T53 at Silverstone, 1961.
Peter Collins at the British GP, 1958.
Collins won this GP in his Ferrari Dino 246. Unfortunately he would die at the next Grand Prix, at the age of 26.
Tyrrell 006 — British GP (Silverstone), 1973.
Behind the wheel is François Cevert. There’s something about that airbox and those satellite-like mirrors that drives me mad, I just love this car.
Jim Clark in the Lotus 49 at Silverstone, 1967.
Lorenzo Bandini (December 1935 — May 1967) at Silverstone.
British Grand Prix, 1966.
Jack Brabham finishes first in the Brabham BT24.
Thank you j-cadek for letting me know about my typo, it was in 1966 and not 1967!
