Jim Clark / Colin Chapman (1965)
Celebrating the Lotus win at the Nurburgring, which would give Clark his second world champion title.
It’s 1965, and the Indy 500 is broadcast live for the first time in national television.
The timing was then, perfect. No non-american driver had won the Indy 500 since Ralph de Palma in 1915, and Jim Clark conquered the hearts of both European and his (new) American fans, with an astonishing first place for him and Lotus.
