Graham Hill,
Celebrating his victory at the 500 miles of Indianapolis.
You know what, this is so much more than your regular celebration capture. What this is, is a way of life, a moral lesson, both for you and me.
Bette Hill is celebrating her husband’s victory on their backyard. Meanwhile, Graham and a young Damon hill are pushing Jim Clark in a tiny tractor, enough to make them seem like they’re having the time of their lives. What’s really interesting to know is that Clark and Hill weren’t even Lotus teammates this year, that didn’t happen until what, 67?
Graham Hill’s good mood & friendship values must have been something worth knowing. A great driver, a great friend, a great father.
When I wonder why I’m stuck in an era I haven’t even lived on, this is why.

British Saloon Car Championship, 1964.
Filmed at Crystal Palace. Names like Jim Clark and Jack Oliver gave this event quite an awesome reputation, as well as the legendary handling of the Ford Lotus-Cortinas.
A crash is also included in the package.
Battle of Titans: Jackie Oliver in the Mustang and Jim Clark in the Lotus-Cortina (okay, and Brian Muir in the Mercury).
The year was 1966 for this epic Big Saloon’s race.
The Colin Chapman Museum
A gorgeous diorama for the 1964 Season. Tiny Jim Clark and John Surtees, along with their Lotus 33 / Ferrari 158 make up this wonderful composition. I would love to do something like this, if I had a steady bedroom to put this in. And the time to build this. And the talent.
Still, it’s pretty cool someone takes the time. More dioramas to come.
