Volkswagen Golf GTI MK1 (1983)
The early eighties restyle gave the original GTI a bigger engine (1.8 litre) and twice as many headlamps.

Volkswagen Golf GTI MK1 (1975)
It needs no introductions. But I’ll go ahead and tell you something that you may not know. This car was designed by Giorgetto Giurgiaro, the same designer who created the Alfasud and Alfetta GT/GTV, the BMW M1, the DeLorean, the De Tomaso Mangusta, the Lancia Delta, the Fiat 850 Spider and, most recently, the Alfa Brera and 159. I would love to see his resumé.

Citroen CX GTi Turbo (1984)
168bhp out of a very comfortable Grand Tourer. And with those looks too.

Suzuki Swift GTI advertisement.
Always had a soft spot for this car. Pocket rockets are always exciting, especially taking into account that 1.3 litre engine this GTI has, and still managed a 0-100kph time of just under eight and a half seconds.
Plus, advertisement was way easier when you could just compare cars on customer’s faces.
