Monaco is close, peeps!
So here are a few Monaco Grand Prix posters for your pleasure, sadly in low resolution.
The 1967 poster hangs proudly on my bedroom wall, I’m eager to get my hands on a few more. I need a bigger apartment though :)

Jean-Pierre Beltoise / Matra MS11 / Nurburgring, 1968
Beltoise would retire this race due to an accident. Meanwhile, Jackie Stewart raced towards both the finish line and a god-like status, winning the race with a broken wrist.
Ayrton Senna (21 March 1960 – 1 May 1994)
18 years ago today, the world lost both a great man and a great driver.
Only ten years before that, Senna was only starting his career at the hands of Toleman-Hart, which was as dreadful as it could have been — and yet, good enough for Senna to shine and show the world “hey, I’m here”.
Today, 18 years later, I can still remember the panic of a 7 year old boy who saw one of his heroes die, and ever since thinks of some kind of worthy tribute to pay to an awesome, awesome driver.

Giuseppe Nino Farina, 1950.
Standing at the boxes of Alfa Romeo, where I believe to be the Nurburgring.
Stuff that’s awesome:
Carlos Pace getting a ride on Ronnie Peterson’s March 721, during the practice for the 1972 French Grand Prix.
Fangio, Kling & Ascari, Reims Grand Prix, 1954.
The first two on the W196 Benz and Ascari on the Maserati 250F.
