Nissan Figaro (1991)
I feel like a teenage girl (I’m neither) everytime I look at the Figaro. I instantly forget everything I know about car design and mechanics and all I can say is:
“Ohhhh, it’s so cute!”
But being manly for a moment: the Figaro wasn’t more than a Micra restyled to look like something straight from the sixties. It sold very well in Japan, and a few were imported to Europe, making the Figaro a true fashion accessory that wasn’t available to everyone.
I’m not too keen on the 3-speed automatic gearbox, but apparently the Figaro isn’t a slouch at all. 12 seconds to 60mph is pretty respectable for a tiny matchbox like this.
I like the Figaro a lot.
