Not much info on this one, but the drifting moment is just too perfect not to be shared anyway.
Because most of you are Escort freaks (and I love you all for that), here’s a nice compilation of MKII Escorts in rally stages.
Rally de Portugal 1994 — Lousada Super Special
Most of you won’t understand the language, but this footage holds some very endearing moments to me. This was the first Rally I ever attended, I was 7 or 8 years old, and I remember finding this absolutely spectacular. I didn’t know the cars (nor the drivers), so it’s wonderful to re-live this moment 17 years later.
The first few minutes show Delecour’s and Biasion’s Ford Escort RS Cosworths.

An unneeded celebration for a car which didn’t have a thing to prove. And that made the world need the Escort Mexico, a road version of the MKI Rally car, using the same 1.6 litre Kent Crossflow engine.
