Daimler 2.5 V8 (1966)
Aside from the engine (which was from Daimler itself), badges and minor interior details, the Daimler 2.5 was otherwise the very same car as a Jaguar Mk II.
A partnership between Ghia and Daimler which resulted in the very interesting Regency Coupé, in 1955.
Daimler SP250 (1959)
Daimler’s attempt at something genuinely good, rather than just Ok. The SP250 got a 2.5 litre V8 engine and a fiberglass body, which kept the weight just under 950kg, and that was pretty remarkable.
Its sleek and rather unique looks helped the competition it was facing against the E Type. I don’t know if its actually easy on the eye, but its most definitely distinctive. Remember Daimler for the SP250.
Daimler 4.2 Coupé (1975)
A gorgeous but short lived model from Daimler, which was derived from the XJ6.
