Caroll Shelby (1923 / 2012)
A racing driver with a dream of so much more.
Shelby raced for a large number of teams in the 50’s, such as Maserati and Aston Martin. With the latter, he even managed to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959.
But aside from the driving, Shelby wanted to build properly fast cars. The fruits of his labor are definitely not unknown to the world, mainly in the US: names as big as the Shelby Cobra and the Mustang Shelby will certainly be rembered for many years to come.
You’ll be missed old man.
