… which you might know today as the Citroen BX. Volvo actually rejected the Bertone design and it ended up in Citroen’s hands, which tweaked it a bit to become the BX you know and love.

Citroen BX Digit (1985)
Around 4000 examples of the BX Digit were built, and if you ever come across one of them you are bound to be amazed. It had dials that seem directly retrieved from a spaceship and even a multi-functional onboard computer.

Citroen BX Turbo (1989)
Developed by Reseau Citroën as a way to make up for the unsuccessful BX 4TC, the team made good use of what it had learned in Gr. B and made this little monster. 1.7L turbocharged engine, producing nothing less than 380bhp. It made its way through the Super Touring group, naturally.

Citröen BX 16v

The Citröen BX was first launched in 1982, but it wasn’t until 1987 that a high performance 16-valve model was launched. It was also the very first French car to be made with a 16v configuration.
