— As some of you may know, I’m working on a new theme for this blog, which is still halfway designed, and it would do wonders for you to browse the archives more clearly with a cross-tags script algorithm I’m developing. I promise you you’ll love it.
But that will be on hold, for now.
2011 was a great year for this blog and I want 2012 to be even better. I learned so much from many of you, automotive-wise but not only. I want that to continue, even with the huge lack of free time that I now have.
But I want 2012 to be a better year for myself, and that also means pursuing other passions. My 365 photo project was somewhat abandoned (still updating it, just not… daily) and 3 other projects were started… never finished. I’m quitting too many things, leaving so much unfinished.
So what’s the point of all this? This is my official, public and somewhat shy commitment that I won’t leave anything unfinished anymore. I want you to insult me and slap me in the face if I don’t take what I want to the next level:
- I’m starting a typography Tumblr. I love type/typefaces just as much as anything with wheels, and I’m already losing countless hours of sleep just designing the whole thing. This has to happen.
- I’ll make Good Old Valves a better, more informative place. This will probably mean less posts but with much more content. The new design will be more focused on type (go figure) and I’m trading quantity for quality.
- I’ll buy some of you people a beer.
