You may have noticed there hasn’t been much going on here lately.
You noticed correctly. I’ve been overly busy with work (even when it isn’t called for) and have been neglecting Tumblr massively.
Now that I finally managed to get some vacation time, will properly answer your messages, build myself a nice queue of posts, and catch up with what’s going on with you.
See you :)
Dear Ricardo, I love the thread very much, wanted to share with you my little car. I contact the curator at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart and obtained the paint codes for K45-286 the first Porsche ever to hit the road in the spring of 1948. Most people see a Silver car, but what they do not know is this particular color silver has a very historic meaning. Thanks, Shane
Thank you for your words and share :)
You’re quite correct, the first 356 (with the K45-286 license plate) had its very own silver color, and it’s somewhat common to 356 owners to get these paint codes directly from Stuttgart for their restorations.
If I ever my hands on one, you can bet it’s getting that color.
